We are a middle school in the first ring suburb of the Twin Cities. We were recently authorized as International Baccalaureate World School. We educate a very diverse population of over 1100 students. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with many our students receiving free lunch. Our school is an ethnically diverse school. Our middle school has an excellent reputation in the community for providing all students challenging areas of study in a caring environment.
Our students, staff, and parents have a mutual interest and dedication to the education and development of each person.
This goal is both academic and social. It involves such important responsibilities as commitment to learning, a focus on life’s positive experiences, cooperation, and most important, care and concern for the individual.
My students qualify for Gifted Education Services and as well as Advanced Language Arts and Literature. This often overlooked population of students have unique social/emotional and academic needs. The focus of the Gifted Services Program at the middle school is on the child’s total development, cognitive, social and emotional. Themed units are designed develop academic skills, creative talents, self-understanding and leadership abilities.
My Project
Please consider helping keep our classroom moving in a positive direction so all students have the basic supplies they need. We use pencils, post it notes, and highlighters often, if not daily, in our classroom for assignments.
Students also need Kleenex to help us get through the cold/flu season in MN as well as pencils and other items we use daily in our classroom.
We are always running out of Kleenex and we try to keep our classroom as healthy as we possibly can. The more time we can stay in school, the more we will learn.
