This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m a nurse in a city based middle school. Many of our students don’t have the basic care items available to them at home. Some students frequently find themselves moving.

As we identify students who could use a care package or specific items, I would like to be able to hand them out or if requested provide them.

We have initiated care baskets which are hung on the bathroom wall. In the care basket, we keep items for students to help themselves if they are in need of item(s).
