This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My amazing art students are creative; they are willing to go outside the box and outside their comfort zones to explore new materials and methods of art-making and expression.

My students are eager to learn, excited about art, and energetic.

They love learning new methods and new materials, and using their personal lives and experiences as ideas and springboards for their artwork.

The art room is a place where my students come in to learn how they can express themselves, collaborate creatively, and make the world a better and more beautiful place. I love working with these students because their artwork is as unique as they are.

My Project

This project will allow each and every one of my students to have their very own art supplies to use at home: a pencil pouch, pencil, eraser/sharpener, colored pencils, crayons, watercolor set, and a drawing sketchbook.

This gives students a chance to be creative and expressive on their own or follow along with tutorials or suggested project ideas through distance learning.

My students have been innovative in using found objects and materials they can find around their home and their neighborhood, but having some quality supplies to create with, can be inspirational and give them a sense of quality and craftsmanship.
