This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a School of Excellence. We are a dynamic community of learners empowering one another to become resilient, inquiring, confident members of the global society.

The mission of my school is to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that celebrates diversity.

We are a community that holds ourselves to high expectations in maintaining a culture of belonging, academic excellence, and innovation.

My school is located in a lower economic urban neighborhood with 95% low-income households and 100% of our students receiving free lunch. This is a Title I school.

I am also teaching 10 health classes a week (about 300 students) and 20 physical education classes a week (about 600 students), which means I need more equipment and materials to keep my students engaged in learning.

My students also love physical activity and love to learn about team sports. My school has nine interscholastic sports teams but needs the funding for new equipment because my school district, school and most of our students don't have the funds to purchase this type of equipment for us. My Project

The resources I am asking for are 10 pairs of baseball pants so my baseball team can wear new baseball pants instead of always wearing baseball pants that have been used. These pants have been cleaned so many times that the grass and dirt stains just won't come out anymore. The new pants will really make my players feel better about themselves and maybe, they will even play better. The other resource is 1 crate with wheels to help carry equipment to the field.

Baseball is a great game that students learn eye-hand coordination, agility, sportsmanship, and builds high self-esteem, and teamwork especially with students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.

Please help me keep my baseball team active by supporting my baseball program in these tough financial times. Thank you.
