My students need 11 items such as puzzle math fun games; multiplication, division, telling time, and money hot dots; 4 hot dot pens, and a flip book.

I teach at-risk, low income students at a charter school in the Detroit area. I teach the third grade and I want to make sure they are set up for success in the later grades.

I believe that the math items I requested will lay the foundational skills that are needed in order to be successful in the next grade level. I am requesting multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction games that can be used as whole group or small group instruction. Some of the items can be used for individual practice and center time. I am trying to build a very strong foundation of basic math skills for the students.

The math resources I am requesting are built around multiplication, division, place value and word problems. All of these skills are necessary to be a successful adult and student. The math items are centered around basic facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, telling time and money. These items may be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. They can be utilized during whole group, small group, center time or individual time. The students need to have a solid foundation of these skills to be successful in the later grades.

Your donation will ensure that my students are set up for success with the foundational skills they will need for the rest of their lives. It will make it possible for students to have a strong and solid foundation of math skills for the later grades. I want to incorporate more fun ways of learning for my students. Students all learn differently and this is a way to reach different learners.
