My Project

As part of our Library Media Center (LMC) mission, we are dedicated to offering students the materials they want and need to enrich their day and complete school assignments.

With the current economic conditions and the level of poverty in our community, many of our high school students come to school lacking basic supplies and the opportunities to use more advanced technology.

This project seeks to continue to equip the LMC Makerspace with everything from basic school supplies to STEM tools.

Our project has the potential to enrich the education of each child in grades 9-12. Research, from the Kids in Need Foundation (KINF), shows that having school supplies leads to increases in self-esteem, class participation, overall preparedness, social engagement, and student discipline - key markers that increase a child's chance for success.

The Makerspace has been an essential component of the BHS Library Media Center for nearly 10 years and has been well utilized by students. Your donation will help us continue to serve our students!
