This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Special Education Teacher, I am always on the hunt for learning materials and books that reach the many different and amazing learning styles of my students. With various reading levels in one room, I need to differentiate for my students by providing independent books that they find interesting. However, currently our classroom library has only a small selection of outdated books, which makes it difficult to engage my kids in independent reading.

You will make it possible for my students to become engaged readers by encouraging them to read with high interest titles at their appropriate levels.

Appropriately leveled books also give students confidence to keep reading and the ability to feel success. The purchase of these new books will motivate my students to read and help foster a love for literature!
