My Project

Hello! I am an inner-city music teacher, looking for ways to make my classroom more efficient. I have a lot of materials and instruments in my room, but there are some thing I need that the district won't fund... For example, a better music stand that I can use on the teacher podium. This will mostly be for me, but students will use it during performances or when they are leading activities in class. This isn't any normal music stand, though...

It holds music AND a guitar or ukulele at the same time!

Not to mention, it is made of bamboo which totally matches our jungle themed room. This tool would be really nice for me as a teacher, but especially as a musician. Often times it is difficult to juggle class rosters, a clipboard, hall passes, etc. and teach music at the same time. I do not have a normal desk in the area because I believe in student interaction and hands-on learning (for me too!)

I am never sitting at my desk during instructional time, so this would be the perfect tool for me to store my instruments on. It would be a lifesaver for me as a teacher with huge class sizes and instruments going around the room each day.
