My Students

Over eighty percent of the students in our school are on free or reduced-price lunch and over sixty percent are limited English second language learners. In my class this year 60% are second language learners. They come from a variety of backgrounds and languages. But that doesn't stop my second graders from coming to school excited and ready to learn!

In my classroom, these students are learning to be excellent leaders and amazing learners!

While this year is especially challenging, my students are working hard to do their best and thrive even in difficult circumstances.

My Project

Physical Education is such an important part of children's development and good health. Students have been home so much, and physical activity has suffered because of it. P.E. develops social skills like fair play and teamwork as well.

My students love to play games, like soccer and basketball!

They love to jumprope and move at recess and P.E. time. Without good balls and jump ropes, we don't have the equipment to teach skills and games. Students will learn to dribble, kick, and throw the balls. Jump rope skills like balance, hopping and endurance strengthen their body and mind.
