This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have been learning how to regulate their emotions during our Social Emotional Learning classes. They have been so good at expressing when they are feeling overwhelmed, sad, angry, excited and more. They are currently learning about the tools we can use to calm our bodies when these various emotions rise.

Through these bean bags we will be able to build our peace corner space for students to sit and use tools to help regulate their emotions and keep learning.

The peace corner is a space my students with high behavioral needs will be able to get the break they need to push through the rest of our learning day.
