My Students

My students walk into our room each day excited to see what is in store for the day. I teach second graders in a school with about 250 students who love to explore and conquer new challenges every day. We live in a small rural community that has great pride in their school.

We are so lucky to have a completely included classroom with all ranges of learners!

I have students with special needs along with regular education students. Together we work to ensure the best learning environment for all students. We have a great sense of community together!

My Project

Kids are always on the move! Traditional classrooms have students sitting still at a desk for much of the day. Most children enjoy having the ability to wiggle and move as they are thinking and working.

Students with sensory processing disorders, like some of my students, can reach their full potential when they can move on a stability ball.

The stability ball gives my students a much needed outlet for the excess energy and sensory needs that could hinder their achievement. Having this resource can assist my students in an increase in focus and attention. In turn, the students will have the best chance for success in the classroom.
