My Students

Students at our school come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Many of my students come from immigrant families and are bilingual. Teachers, parents, administration and students work together to make sure everyone feels included, safe, and challenged.

Regardless of background, we all have one thing in common: we want to learn!

Because some of my students come from low-income homes, I try my best to provide ALL students with the tools they need to do their best learning. The students I teach have the challenge of not only learning the standards of education, but also developing 21st century skills that will allow them to, all, be productive members of our greater community. It is our goal to be a classroom of leaders, problem solvers, and good citizens.

My Project

Our classroom is utilizing flexible seating to teach students self-control, promote self-monitoring, and, most importantly, give students a chance to work in their best environments! Students LOVE having the freedom and choice to work in a spot that works best for their learning. The Balance Boards will quickly become student favorites for independent work time!

The Kick Balance Boards are designed to encourage low intensity movements that engage the whole body and keep students alert while standing.

I know that my students will love having another tool in our classroom that will help them produce the best work they can!
