My Students

My students attend an inner-city school and come from many different backgrounds and neighborhoods. I believe kindergarten is the time to establish a love of learning and school. I strive to do that every day.

My students are twenty-two of the hardest working five-year-olds you will ever meet.

They put one hundred percent effort into everything they do. From learning to read and socialization through play, they give it their all every day. They love to learn new things through explorations and hands-on learning.

My Project

The past few years have brought a lot of challenges into the classroom for the students both academically and socially especially for the youngest learners. My kindergartners love any situation to play together creatively.

As we try to make new situations for the children to play socially together while also using new math and literacy skills.

These play kits will be added to the dramatic play area to turn it into a bakery and pizza shop. The will allow my kindergartners to play socially, increase their creativity, use writing skills to take orders and use play money to increase their math skills.
