My Students

Our school serves roughly 500 PK - 8th grade students from the Bayview and neighboring areas of San Francisco. Many of our students and families experience community and economic stressors and complex trauma. In addition, many of our students are native Spanish speakers.

Our students are dynamic, creative and energetic individuals.

Many of our families struggle financially and basic needs can be hard to meet at times. The majority of our families are low-SES and on free or reduced lunch. Despite this, our students continue to thrive.

My Project

Many of our students' families have been adversely affected by the pandemic. Numerous families members have lost their jobs and they are still . We often have many students come to school without backpacks. Due to the fact that they do not have a backpack, it is very hard for them to keep track of their homework and any important paperwork that needs to go home.

By donating to this project, you will help us to ensure that every student at our school has a backpack.

Every student having a backpack supports our less fortunate families to feel included and it ensures that student's have a place to keep their homework and other important papers/materials.
