Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love that my students always try their best to have a positive mindset, no matter the challenges they face or may face on a daily basis. However, often times my students do not always feel the most confident or have the highest self-esteem due to bullying and financial situations at home.
By providing my 8th grade students with new backpacks, they will be able to enter high school feeling confident, ready, and prepared to learn.
This will also provide them with the opportunity to reinvent themselves and feel a lot more mature.
The stress balls will help my future 9th grade students during difficult times as they may not have access to manipulatives or sensory toys and objects at their new schools.
Headphones will help the students in my classroom in many ways. Students will be able to utilize them when they need to cool down and listen to music or just tune out noise that may have them feeling stressed and anxious. They can benefit from them academically being that most assignments and tasks are delivered through their Chromebooks and iPads.
The STEM activity book will be a great addition to my classroom being that I focus on hands-on learning in order to meet the needs of all learners and learning styles.
