We are an energetic first-grade classroom that's part of a school where individualized student learning is our priority!

In first grade, a major focus is teaching children to read. Creating an atmosphere that is comfortable and at ease helps transition children into independent readers.

As a class, we decided that we would like to have reading pillows in our library center. My students said they feel like if they were comfortable, they would be more likely to read. These reading pillows are especially practical and convenient. They have the handles on the top of them for easy movement, and the pockets on the sides for book storage.

With your help, my students will have an area in the classroom that is completely centered on the development of reading. Students will be comfortable; therefore, they will be more likely to read! We are very excited to use these reading pillows in our room!
