Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project involves understanding the foundations of drawing and how to manipulate graphite to create different tones and values that create visually appealing artworks. Going back to the drawing board helps students understand how lighting and shadows create three dimensional figures on a two dimensional surface, along with understanding how still life paintings were used by master artists from long ago. Being able to connect with these inanimate objects and understand anatomy, construction, 3D forms, and movement based on the placement of mannequins. Their viewpoint and knowledge of the arts will be empowered and insightful with these drawing tools.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
