My Students
My seventh grade students are energetic, charismatic, and daring. They tackle many obstacles that they are faced with in their personal lives and the obstacles that they are presented with while obtaining their education. They have the energy and the willpower to achieve all that is presented to them.
My students have the passion to challenge the status quo and achieve their goals by attending college and entering the workforce post graduation.
I am here to support them throughout their journey. Our school is a Title 1 school in Atlanta, where 100% of the students receive free and reduced lunch. Majority of our students are faced with socioeconomic challenges that affects their academic success. I am charging myself with the responsible for locating multiple routes that will eliminate the obstacles standing in my students way!
My Project
Back to school shopping like the requested staples, paper, index cards, folders can be a difficult task for most of my students' families. Most come from low-income families and may experience trauma, such as housing and food instability, incarcerations, families that suffer from mental issues, etc.
Therefore, the teachers are placed in situations where they most provide for their classrooms and this continues all throughout the school year.
By donating to this campaign, you are alleviating some of the burden off of the teacher, which will allow the teacher to invest more time and energy in cultivating the young minds in the classroom. They will participate in different learning activities using the supplies from this campaign.
