Help me give my students create hands on activities and crafts related to social emotional learning.

I have the pleasure of working with a group of vibrant students on my campus in my role as a school counselor. I am super excited about the upcoming school year and the opportunity to teach social-emotional learning skills and strategies to help my students become motivated and positive influences in the community. My school is a Title I school and the majority of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunch and come from homes with very low income. I would love for my students to have a year to remember and have materials and resources available to them to assist in their exploration of learning new things. Acquiring proper social-emotional learning skills is a vital part of a child's education and with proper teaching, adequate resources and materials students can flourish in all academic areas. My goal is to cater to the whole child. When students basic needs are meet the sky's the limit!
Hands on activities help students remember important details of a lesson and gives them something tangible to reflect on. My students will have the ability to participate in hands on activities while we explore topics related to college and career readiness, bullying and drug awareness and social emotional learning activities. The crayons, markers and paint will give them a variety of ways to add meaningful color to their work.
The use of hands on activities will give students a product to take away from the lesson and allow them to reflect on the lesson long after the lesson is over.
These materials will also help me when planning activities, college trips, providing student referrals and counseling sessions.
