My Students

My students enter the classroom eager and ready to learn. I am currently a special education teacher working with students with a wide range of disabilities. Being a newer teacher in my school, I am working on making my classroom more welcoming to my kiddos. I want them to feel comfortable and excited to be there. I hope to add new hands-on materials, flexible seating options, and technology to enhance their learning experience. Making learning fun will help close the educational gap for my struggling learners!

My Project

It’s that time of year again... the start of school! Every September my students enter the classroom ready to share their summer stories and make new friends. They are eager and excited to begin learning new topics.

My students are missing some basic essential items that are required in the classroom.

My students need binders, markers, and folders. My hope is that each of my students can have their own goals binder and folder. I would like these materials to be hung up for easy access. Students can become more involved and aware of the progress they make towards reaching their IEP goals

A large part of my classroom environment is working in small groups. I would love to add a variety of markers for my students to use when working on chart paper within these collaborative groups.

With these basic essentials I can ensure my students start this year with everything they need in order to be successful!
