This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic about learning and have a thirst for knowledge, but they lack the resources to quench their thirst. The majority of my students are from low-income homes and do not own one book. When my students come to class, it is their home away from home.

They may not get what they need elsewhere, but, within my four walls, they will know their voices matter, their dreams matter, and their education matters.

I want my students to know that someone cares about their education and goals and will help them make them a reality. My students are the change I want to see in the world!

My Project

My English 12 and College Summit students are in need of supplies to succeed. This year, we are trying a flipped classroom, and the students are empowered to learn through recorded lessons at home. They come into class to apply what they've learned in an activity or assessment. This is where the highlighters, post-it notes, permanent markers, paper, and poster board come in. Your donations will help supply my students with the tools they need to succeed in my class.

My students will be able to demonstrate and showcase their learning creatively using the supplies your donations will provide.

Not only will your donations help individual students accomplish their work, but they will benefit the class as a whole as well.

A high school is full of germs and the flu season is upon us. The disinfectant, hand sanitizer, and tissue will help keep my students healthy and our classroom clean.
