Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

School supplies are an essential part of any classroom and student learning. Thinking ahead to the new school year, I would like to support my students' everyday learning with new and fresh school supplies. Many students begin the school year with no school supplies and these basics will help to set them up for success.

These supplies, notebooks, pens and pencil pouches will help ease the burden on my students' families by helping to provide school supplies for our classroom.

Many families can not afford school supplies. It can be difficult for students who are not able to come to school with new supplies like their peers. I want all my students to start on an equal footing by providing basic school supplies that everyone needs in my classroom.

I believe that providing my students with the necessary school supplies such as notebooks and sight word cards, will help them be successful.
