Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Recess is a crucial part of the school day, offering students a necessary break from structured learning. It is an opportunity for children to socialize, exercise, and develop important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.
Unfortunately, the quality of this break can be significantly compromised by outdated or insufficient playground equipment.
This proposal seeks funding to acquire new soccer, volleyball, and various playground equipment.
The current state of recess equipment at our school is lacking in diversity and volume, failing to meet the varied interests and physical activity needs of our student body. Recognizing the universal appeal of soccer and volleyball—along with a variety of other engaging play options—this project seeks to introduce equipment that will invigorate our recess offerings, encourage physical activity, and support social and emotional learning through play.
