My Students

I have 20 wonderful special needs students who are recovering from one of the most challenging school years of their lives. Many of our class math manipulatives were distributed to homes for remote learning.

I want my students to have the tools they need to have a "hands-on" math experience.

My Project

Our classroom math manipulatives are very depleted after over a year of remote learning. I need to replace those lost math tools because math manipulatives reinforce math concepts and give students a way to demonstrate what they have learned.

Using hands-on tools to learn math is considered a best practice for all elementary students, but is essential for students with special needs.

Manipulatives make trial and error problem solving more attainable for students who struggle with math.

These math tool boxes are exactly what my students need. They contain a write & wipe number line, a write & wipe 120-chart, pattern blocks, base 10 blocks, ten-frames and double-sided counters. These materials come in a sturdy plastic toolbox which will help my students learn to keep their manipulatives organized!
