My students struggle to obtain very basic supplies. We have been fortunate enough to have the kindness of strangers aid in the acquisition in supplies through Donors Choose previously. We need very basic classroom supplies such as paper and tissues, which many parents are unable to help supply.
My students are excited about learning.
They take great pride in what they do in the classroom, and love to show off their newly learned skills. We do run out f supplies often, and we try to come up with new ways to obtain the supplies we need. We even recycle cans and bottles so we can use the money to buy paper or pencils. They are creative, enthusiastic, and ready to learn. They would work tirelessly to aid others, and I would love to return the favor.
My Project
The materials we need are not fancy. In fact to many they would seem boring. We are in desperate need for the basic supplies that we use daily, paper, markers, tape, and tissues. Without out writing utensils or paper, we would have a difficult time doing much of anything. These materials would be used daily in all subjects.
Having the opportunity to provide my students with the materials they need will continue to fuel their enthusiasm for learning by keep the continued momentum and excitement elevated, without the worry of trying to find ways to obtain what we need.
Every little donation to the classroom helps my kids stay involved in the learning process. They work hard to fulfill charity acts for others in their community, and to have it come back to them is very fulfilling.
