Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As I prepare to embark on a new journey back into the classroom after a two-year mentor position, I am eager to revitalize the learning environment for my students. As I gear up to teach 6th-grade ELA in Independence, MO, I am filled with enthusiasm and determination to make this upcoming school year one of unparalleled excellence. However, to ensure the best possible learning experience for my students, I recognize the critical need for essential supplies that will facilitate their growth and comfort within the classroom.

Having been away from the classroom for the past two years, I understand the importance of creating an environment that is conducive to learning and fosters a sense of security and organization.

The provision of necessary supplies will not only aid in the smooth functioning of daily activities but will also contribute significantly to the overall well-being and academic success of my students.

Moreover, the availability of organizational tools such as the bean bag chairs, storage carts, and storage containers will promote a sense of orderliness and structure within the classroom. A well-organized environment not only enhances productivity but also cultivates a sense of responsibility and accountability among students. When students know where to find their materials and resources, they can focus more on their learning and less on searching for misplaced items.

Additionally, by investing in supplementary resources such as pencil sharpeners, comfortable seating, and teacher resources, I can create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles and interests.

As I prepare to return to the classroom, I am committed to providing my students with the best possible learning experience. By securing essential supplies that promote organization, accessibility, and engagement, I am confident that I can create a nurturing and supportive environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.
