Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are learning how to adapt to our new way of learning. Even though they are not in the classroom full time and we are having to adjust to distant learning, they're energetic, creative, thoughtful, and always full of questions and insight! My students are a diverse bunch of kids who encourage, inspire, and compliment each other daily. They are bright young achievers who are always ready to learn and try their best. Despite most of these students growing up in poverty and with families that struggle day in and day out to survive, these students still crave success. I want to be able to give them the best opportunity to learn.
My Project
As the COVID numbers continue to rise our students head back home for virtual learning. Students have plenty of distractions at home, with the headphones they will be able to eliminate at least one of those distractions by shutting out the noise and being able to hear better. The headphones will allow students to focus on instruction and not the distracting noises around their home.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Help me give my students hands-on materials to help learning be more engaging. Having ink, card stock, and thermal pouches will allow me to print materials they can use at home to become more engaged, focused, and will be allowed to participate rather than just sit and listen.
