Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students from nations all over the world immigrate to our city with their families. The city, although economically poor in many areas, is rich in cultures and heritage from all corners of the world. We have a growing population of Hispanic immigrants, most speaking their native language, Spanish. Many of our students, both native and non-native, struggle to meet basic classroom needs each day. This means that it is extra important for us to make sure they have a school filled with essential items and social-emotional materials that they can access at any time. Their social/emotional well-being depends on knowing that they are free to use these materials that will not run out and that they are supported in all that they do! I am therefore planning a carnival for students at the end of the year to show them how much they are cared for!

The items I am requesting will provide our Brotherhood boys with materials for supporting a free school carnival axe-throwing booth that will help us support the students' personal well-being.

I am requesting this game so we can set up a carnival booth.

These games will go a long way in ensuring our students feel cared for by the staff and supported in their social-emotional learning. We will be able to dplay axe-throwing all day. Students will be able to use and play games all day.
