My students meet in small groups throughout the day. I support students who need extra support in the area of reading. I usually support ~40 students in small groups per day, coming from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Our school recently became a Title I school. I work with all grade levels in our elementary building (K-6).
I love to support my students' literacy development and their love of learning.
My students are full of energy and enthusiasm each day!
This table will be for meeting with students in small group guided literacy lessons focusing on phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and spelling patterns. Having a table that can allow students close access to the teacher is beneficial to their learning.
Every child deserves a teacher that fosters their literacy progress and development.
Learning to read is a life long skill. I meet with small groups of student throughout the day to meet their needs in all areas of literacy. My goal is to have students reading at grade level. To do this, I work to "close the gaps" where the students are struggling in their reading development. I love to be a part of their reading growth and progress.
