My students are second graders in rural Kansas. Getting back to a normal school year has been a great adventure.
Our class is very smart and very diverse.
We have a high percentage of students who qualify to receive free or reduced-price lunch throughout our district. Our students are special and deserve everything we can teach them. They work hard every day, and they are excited and eager to learn. Some students come from nontraditional living situations and we are all unique in our own ways.
These books will benefit many students. They will be utilized throughout the school. With these books many students will be able to have books in their hands. This will give a variety of books, but also a fun experience for group read-aloud time.
Learning to read gives us a lifetime of reading to learn.
These books will be utilized by many students in different grade levels. We appreciate being given the opportunity to put more books in students' hands and our students are ever so thankful for more books!
