My Project

Most of my students are from immigrant families that speak various languages. Art provides them with a universal way to express themselves and make connections.

They would be creating 2 art projects: a sculptural 3-dimensional abstract collage using Twisteez wires and paper and a canvas painting using acrylic paints.

These projects give them a forum for free expression and opportunities to experience 2 types of art forms.

They will participate in a gallery walk to appreciate each others' creations, make comments and provide feedback. They will share similarities and differences between their sculptures and paintings.
