Autonomy Over Learning

Help me give my students a comfortable space to enhance their learning. As our school is in the process of becoming IB, we are always looking for ways to let students have autonomy over their learning.

My Project

What I love most about my students—especially my 3rd graders—is their growing sense of curiosity and independence. They’re at this incredible stage where they want to make choices, test ideas, and take ownership of their learning. When given the chance, they rise to the occasion with creativity, persistence, and pride. They don’t just want answers—they want to discover how to find them.

Because of this, I prioritize resources that foster autonomy and active engagement.

Flexible seating tools allows students to work at their own pace and follow their interests while still meeting learning goals. These resources empower students to make decisions about their learning paths, which builds confidence and intrinsic motivation.
