This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is looking for folding chairs so that we can keep all students safe. Earlier in the year, we had to remove desks and chairs due to a student who loves to jump and climb, but wasn't safe when he did so. Kid size folding chairs will allow students to sit comfortably in a chair, rather than on a carpet for small group instruction. When they are done with the chair, they will fold it up and hang it back on the wall. This then prevents our climbing Spiderman from using chairs to climb high on classroom furniture.

We want so desperately to have chairs in our classroom and to keep all students safe at the same time.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
