Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are interested in supplying different sensory supports throughout our classroom. Sensory supports and hands-on learning is great for brain and memory development, gross and fine motor skills, and strength. With no right or wrong ways of playing, they can appeal to students with different learning styles and abilities.

This project is for sensory tiles/mats, a sequence calming wall, and fidget toys.

These sensory supports calm students, and allow them to focus more throughout the day. Having a designated calming area in the classroom is helpful. Support at their individual tables, such as fidgets can support positive behavior in the classroom. This is something I am missing in my classroom and would love to have more supports for everyone.
