Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Spanish is the only language offered at my school. Students loop around and are taught two years of Spanish by me. I like to teach students about the language and culture through various projects throughout the school year. Most of my students are on free or reduced lunch. I cannot ask for them to bring in supplies to help with the cost of the classroom projects. That's why I reach out to donors like you that help inspire learning in every classroom.

Spanish class offers authentic and engaging cultural classroom projects; Students have hands-on experience making salsa, tortillas, horchata, slime, Spanish bingo, stories, and videos.

These supplies will elevate every child's learning experience in the classroom.

Every student has different learning style, with these types of lessons and projects I can reach all my learners. It's extremely important for me to have all these supplies or tools available to help me teach the lesson. It is a lot easier for me to continuously accommodate student learning needs, stimulate their learning and explore more about the culture and language.

The classroom supplies chosen for this project are materials that are in high need to support every student’s learning experience. Each student will have their own bag of supplies to use during every subjective lesson. All supplies will help every student to stay fully engaged and to try their very best in class.
