Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Healthy minds can flourish when they are attached to healthy bodies.

My students are in the fourth grade at a California year-round, public school.

They are accelerated learners who can be a bit lacking in the physical fitness department. We are going to change that this year. They will learn that a healthy mind and body are important.

My Project

We are requesting an array of playground balls along with a pump to keep them going. My kids will become adept at basic soccer, kickball, basketball, and volleyball skills. They are going to get their heart rates up and discover the joys of physical fitness.

My students do not have to excel at sports as they do academics but they should have a healthy balance.

I will try to teach them to have fun while breaking a sweat and that sometimes learning a sport is truly "No Sweat!"
