This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I am in the process of changing my classroom decorations for the upcoming school year. The theme is "Sowing Seeds in Second Grade". This theme will include flowers and leaves with bright pink accessories for the classroom.
Sowing Seeds represents the growth that students will be making during the school year.
Many students come in a classroom expecting to see bright and vibrant colors. My goal is to be successful at making my students feel welcome and that their classroom is a safe space.
My students show up with a positive attitude and willingness to learn everyday. The least I can do is make sure it is a safe and positive place for their minds to grow.
