Astronomy Nights: Bringing the Stars to Life

My students need a telescope with a case for the viewing of celestial bodies to support the real world application of our astronomy standards.

My Students

Thank you for your consideration of donating materials to this amazing group of young learners! Their passion for learning keeps me feeling fresh and excited to come to work everyday. It is such a joy to watch the hard work and dedication they put into their personal growth.

We have developed a supporting and encouraging classroom filled with students eager for ways to apply their knowledge to the real-world.

Your donation will assist in my mission to truly bring learning to life for these growing minds. We cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel with your support.

My Project

Our favorite unit of study in 4th grade is Sun, Moon, and Stars. Sadly, I cannot bring the students on a field trip deep into the cosmos. We watch lots of video clips regarding NASA's current events and marvel at the deep space photos taken by the Hubble but nothing can hook a young astronomer or truly bring it life like looking at the rings of Saturn through a telescope for first time.

A large telescope, like this one, will allow the students to really feel the vastness of our Universe while bringing us together in a community event.

Getting together with families after school hours will not only engage the parents in their students learning but also strengthen the school community. While we cannot visit the Orion Nebula on a school bus; we observe it together under a clear, dark sky with your help!
