My Students

I teach in north Alabama. Our school serves kindergarten through fifth grade. In second grade, we have five different classrooms.

I teach second graders who have returned to the school building.

This year, I have 21 students in my room. Because of the new changes related to the pandemic, our school building and classrooms look very different.

In order to keep socially distanced, our desks are spaced apart from each other. This barrier helps to protect the children and me from the spread of germs. We also continue to have some students wear masks during the school day.

My Project

I am requesting organizational items for classroom use. Items such as a laptop computer stand and a dry erase monthly calendar. I am requesting an assortment of snacks to offer my class when they are not able to bring a snack item from home. Many days the students rely on the school for their source of breakfast, snacks, and lunch.

The editable calendar and computer stand will be used when creating and tracking our iReady goals and updating our data folders.

The students are learning the importance of creating goals and tracking their data.
