Assistance for Organization in My Classroom!

My Students

I teach 6th grade in a high needs, Title I school district. Our school has worked very hard and has won state awards for our growth in the last 2 years. We are in need of a social/emotional curriculum and resources. We ask for curriculum support for the students emotional and mental health needs as many have been affected by trauma in their lives.

Over 60% of our students have been affected by some type of trauma in their lives.

Many live with grandparents, foster, single parent and relatives serving as guardians now. We have been trying to address the needs of the SEL (social emotional learning), and the books requested would definitely assist our students with their coping skills. Many have endured challenges most would fold under, and yet, they strive for academic excellence and love the real world challenges!

My Project

I am in need of supplies to support a new language-arts curriculum. We use sticky notes and dry erase markets daily for Socratic seminars and partner discussions. Being in a new building, we are limited to what we are allowed to bring in, and I am need of organizers to assist my class management and resources to keep the class engaged in the daily lessons.

The SEL (social emotional learning) books requested also have activities and engaging discussions.

My students will need these supplies, markers, highlighters, and white boards (I purchased myself) for daily use.
