Every year I am scrambling to create curriculum based on ancient history. I truly enjoy teaching about the Mayans, Incas, and Aztecs and their culture. The amazing feats, the cities, the government, and the (kids favorite) sacrifices to the gods. But I could sure use a resource to assist the learning, making sure I am on target, and the assessments: did they learn what I intended? Students love Greek and Roman history and are thoroughly engaged in the gods and the beginnings of our government! They are completely grossed out by the sanitation and baths, but learn a bit about how fortunate we are in the USA and other countries that have running water and sanitation disposal. Can you see how this all leads to more and more discussions? History is so under-taught. :)
