This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This school year, I had the privilege of moving up to the next grade level with my students from last school year. The group is an energetic, outgoing set of children who have a thirst for new knowledge.
As learners with a thirst for knowledge, my students were excited to see we would be working with Chromebooks and digital interventions this school year.
We are a Title One school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch plus a healthy snack. The school is in a lower income area in the city with a high crime rate.
My Project
As we have started the school year, my students have been excited to start digital interventions to help with their learning and improve their skills. Our headphones are old and the children have difficulty hearing with them.
Students will be able to listen comfortably with new headphones that are adjustable not just in volume but in how they fit over their ears.
New headphones which are comfortable for them to wear will aid in focusing their attention on their learning. My students have been distracted from their learning with headphones which are not large enough for them nor loud enough for some of them to hear the digital intervention programs.
