I have an amazing group of 4th grade mathematicians! They strive to do their very best, but unfortunately they are at a disadvantage at times because some of them are brand new to our country. Some families simply don't have the means to provide supplies or donate money to help our classroom.
As a dedicated and a motivated educator,I take great pride in reaching the individual needs of my students.
Teaching that is geared towards multiple intelligences is extremely difficult when supplies are limited or nonexistent. This situation is faced by many of my colleagues each and every school day.
How can we make this situation better? How can our students, our future, have the needed resources to increase their educational needs? This goal can be achieved through your generosity. Your kindness will assist me with reaching their needs. Their success story with be your success story.
My Project
Interactive notebooks are a great tool to help students understand where numbers are coming from! We color-coordinate everything! We need a ton of glue sticks, markers, and pencils to make this happen. I have learned that some students really don’t do well sitting in desks, but rather feel much more comfortable sitting on the floor so I would love to have floor mats for those students. They can grab a floor mat and sit anywhere they’d like in the room while taking quizzes or tests. In addition, for the students who do like to sit in desks, I’d love to have tennis balls so the floors don’t get scratched 4th graders tend to fidget in their seats.

Interactive notebooks make a difference in student learning because students understand where a formula is originating from. They create foldable and models to help them review at home as oppose to reading from a text book.
