My students need 3 Math Learning Palettes for hands-on, self guided, differentiated math tools to use independently during Math Workshop.
Were you one of those children that hated learning unless it was in a way that you could have control over? Or were you one of those who were above grade level and needed to be challenged? My students are just like you were at their age and need your help!
I teach Kindergarten math at a small rural school in Kentucky.
My students face many socioeconomic barriers and challenges on a daily basis. I want to give them the best start for their school career to encourage them to complete high school and beyond. Many students are academically below the level of average Kindergartners and we work very hard every day to help them grow. Like any other children, they are resilient and trusting and I want to use those qualities to help them become the best they can be!
I am requesting Learning Palettes for my students. These are colorful and hands on tools that allow students to independently work at their level and self check their work. I have requested 2 sets of kindergarten level cards for a majority of my students to use and one set of first grade cards for my more advanced students. This will allow all of my students to learn at their current level. The kits include sets of cards for all aspects of math including numbers, geometry, intro to data, coins, and algebra concepts.
Simply put, Kindergartners are great and I want to provide them with great resources for learning!
These palettes will get so much use and will not only help students academically, but will also help with fine motor skills, independent work skills, and decision making skills. Please help my Kindergartners become great mathematicians!
