My Project

Words in My Hands is a book full of ASL immersion. The character in this book is exactly what I want my higher level ASL students to experience. She shows growth in the language, culture, and demonstrates everything I teach and want my students to see.

I want to create book groups and discussions where students read about a cultural event and we learn to go deeper into the culture.

The author is Deaf, and her story is also important to bring into the classroom and use to learn deeper.
