As Snug as a Bug on a Rug!

My students need materials that can make our classroom developmentally appropriate since I teach kindergarten through 6th grade. We need a classroom rug and an easel for lessons on the rug.

My Students

My students are from countries all over the world. They work hard every day to learn, grow and strengthen their English language skills!

Reading, writing, speaking and listening: These are the skills my students sharpen everyday as they become bilingual learners.

A glimpse into my classroom will show the many strengths of the school such as the diverse student body, the grit of the students and the successful futures they are working towards! Building their literacy is the key to success!

My Project

Due to the fact that I teach kindergarten through 6th grade in my room, my younger students are currently sitting at desks that are much too large for them and this makes it more difficult for them to feel settled and ready to learn during a lesson. They need a large classroom rug where we can comfortably gather for mini-lessons and partner work. In addition, it would increase their ability to engage if I have a teaching easel on the rug where I can model the skill. This creates a snug, focused environment where all can learn and feel comfortable.
