My students need supplies such as origami paper, paint brushes and paint, beads, and canvas panels for the Arts and Crafts projects that they have chosen for our classroom. The basic supplies will help my students develop and make their projects. We have a very limited set of resources.
My students are a creative bunch. They have so many ideas and thoughts that will beautify our tiny school in our rural community. Being a small community means that our resources are limited and we all have to stretch a very small budget for our Arts and Crafts elective. As anyone can tell you, art opens up many creative outlets for students.
Our students have so many ideas and thoughts to express through Arts and Crafts.
They are allowed to show their individuality through a variety of crafts and different graphic arts. They also seek to develop their abilities in other avenues such as drama and drawing. The limit on resources should not limit these children in the way that they can express their creative young minds.
My Project
Students in middle school often lack creative outlets for their thoughts, feelings, and energy. As an Arts and Crafts elective that was selected by the students, many are very excited to create the various projects that we have chosen for the year. This ranges from drawings and paintings, a local Quilt Square design projects, paper maché hot air balloon lanterns, water color paintings, and 1,000 Origami paper cranes to promote world peace.
In a very small town, resources are not easy to come by.
I have requested scissors, origami paper, paint brushes and paint, charcoal, glue, beads, canvas panels, and twine. My students are very excited for this class and I want to be the best that I can to supply them with opportunities to express their creativity. All assistance is greatly appreciated.
