My Project

My students work extremely hard each day and need times to blow off steam.

Art in the classroom is a way to create positive memories and to make cross-curricular connections for learners.

While they do have a regular art class, they only attend once every six school days. Additional opportunities in the classroom for arts and crafts allows students to demonstrate multiple modalities of learning.

Paint, canvas, easels, birdhouse building kits, glass painting and more allow students to celebrate milestones, observe upcoming holidays and get creative with classmates. In a classroom this size, supplemental materials can be costly and hard to obtain on short notice. This project will allow us to plan activities ahead and free up additional resources for regular instructional materials that are purchased.
