Arts and Craft Materials for Cultural Projects

Help me give my students so school supplies to work on their cultural projects. we often do a lot of art and craft projects in the class for festival celebrations.

My Students

I teach multiple levels of Mandarin at a high school. My students are very diverse. They are from Mexico, Portugal, the Philippines, Vietnam, China, etc. They chose to take Mandarin. They are highly motivated and focus on learning the Chinese language and culture. The difference and rich of the cultural backgrounds my students bring to the classroom make the class more fun. I am learning a lot from them. Another special thing about my students is that I have had some students for 3-4 years in high school, and some of them continue to take Mandarin in college.

My Project

With those art supplies, my students will be able to have more tools to demonstrate their achievement in learning the Chinese language and cultures. When we do arts and crafts lessons, it is important to help students connect their activity or cultural identity with cultural significance.

Art and crafts help students to explore and express their emotions.

In some traditional Chinese holidays like the Mid-autumn Festival and the Lunar New Year, students enjoy working on the project collaboratively or individually. Students love to celebrate the cultural holidays with fun and engaging art activities. It promotes creativity which is very important for a child's development. Teenagers love to create and work with others.
