My Students
This year I have 17 amazing Pre-K students with bright minds and different learning styles. They are each unique in that some are visual, kinetic, tactile and reflective learners. Being a new teacher, I have limited supplies to help reach all of these different styles of learning.
My students love to create art with play-dough, paint and bingo daubers.
Having art in my classroom is very important to my students because many do not get to play or create art at home. I love to see the look in their eyes when they show me what they have created.
My Project
The art materials on my list will make a huge difference in my students' learning by providing a place where they can use their imagination to create amazing creations. Having an art easel that has a cart will make it easy for my students to get the supplies they need to make their art project great. Paint brushes that are bigger around will work perfectly for my beginner painters, making them easier to hold. The paint scrappers will be an added way to change the texture of their paintings.
Art exploration helps form connections in children's brains, it helps them learn—and it’s also fun.
Art also helps children work on their fine motor skills, cognitive development, math skills and language skills. This foam glitter paint will be an amazing addition to the art center and it will tap into my student's sense of touch and site. By letting my student's use their artistic expression I will be facilitating learning.
